HELP NO TAV

I know very well that you do not know the Valley of Susa, which is in Italy, and it is not as famous as the Valley of the Dolomites, but now I will put you some photos of this wonderful place, which they are destroying to build a high-speed iron factory. Turin to Lyon.
It is a truly beautiful valley and many people live there, who are now struggling and have been fighting for a long time to prevent it from being destroyed. I would like to ask for your help because this valley should remain untouched and free from any human intervention. Mostly free from concrete and electricity.

THIS IS THE VALLEY OF SUSA IN ITALY

The local population suffers the invasion and devastation of their territory together with the loss of precious water resources and shares with the miners, the workers and those involved in the handling of land, gravel and other excavated materials, and all the risks associated with the transport of dangerous substances, especially asbestos. These people have lived there for centuries and now nobody cares about the destruction of this corner of paradise.

THIS IS VALLEY OF SUSA NOW AND THEY’RE STILL WORKING THERE.

What they are doing is really a terrible thing. The locals are still struggling but the Italian government is really deaf and doesn't understand anything about the environment and people's health. This is the youtube channel of these people and I hope that you too will give your support. They are families with children whose lands, health and serenity have been stolen. Please even a few words for them, so as not to make them feel malicious. We must fight to save this valley. All together. If you love Italy please let us know.

I don’t know what to say. I hate suffering, not to mention families losing their homes. That’s barbarous. I know it is a lovely valley, and it should stay that way. So should the lives and livelihoods of the people. I know that in the USA people often are not treated well. The government loses sight and perspective and so do corporations. It shouldn’t happen here. I shouldn’t happen there, either. I hope brutality is exchanged for at the least negotiation. To the people in the Valley of Susa, please take care of each other.

I can’t fathom how people could look at that beautuful valley and see a space to build some ugly factory.

Many families have received expropriation notices but the emblem of the Republic or that of the public body carrying out the expropriation does not appear on these; there is the logo of Telt (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin), a simplified joint stock company in French commercial law, based in Savoy. It is its officials who directly communicate the expropriation for “public utility” and determine the value of the areas stolen from the owners. The Italian state provides the public force.

So the Italian state was really absent in supporting these families. A paradise was destroyed without anyone stopping it. The families of the Val di Susa are still there to fight and are alone.

This is wrong! As I’ve said before, the more humans on the earth the greater the need for water, food, healthcare, education, communications! It’s a viscious circle and somehow it needs to be broken. Perhaps Mother Earth will have her say! We will not be consulted!
