PAINTING SOME ROCKS

Today I dedicated some hours to art. I painted some rocks with a background on which I will then draw the Viking runes, which I like so much, and then put the colored rocks on the large rectangular vases in front of my house, which are the only ones not dug up by my dogs. It's nice to paint rocks because each of them has a different porosity and each one absorbs the colour, enhances it or dampens it. However today is a sunny day and I put all my rocks out in the open to dry.
When we talk about rock art, we are talking about an ancient art born from cave painting and as the name suggests, it involves the creation of designs and shapes on stones. Drawing on stone, in prehistoric times, was a way of expressing oneself even before the invention of writing. Today, coloring pictures on stones has taken on a whole new aspect, becoming a fun hobby for enthusiasts, a group activity, a job for artists but also an original experience for young children and teenagers.

BOREDOM

No more repeating commitments. No more performance anxiety. We learn to get bored and enjoy the benefits of boredom. With some caveats
Boredom scares us. We perceive it as an inner malaise, a condition of discomfort, with which we find it difficult to live. Life becomes dark, in the dim light of a sense of emptiness and abandonment, and we end up in the vortex of anxiety, a compulsion to move, to do something. A real waste of energy and emotion. Boredom breaks through in the field of depression, and sometimes it represents only a daily mask, difficult to remove.
In literature, great writers (I mention one for all: Alberto Moravia) have recounted the man devoured by boredom, and I happened to meet accomplished, rich people with a good career in progress, however afflicted by the boredom virus. They are really difficult to date, they have no peace. They transmit anxiety, they always have the frenzy to change places and company. They do not enjoy the pleasure of any stable moment of the day. They can't draw a breath without turning it into a gasp of stress.
Long live boredom. Long live the rediscovery of something that we have lost in the era of haste, of performance anxiety, of wanting to do everything immediately, and of the times of super speed imposed by the technological domain. Long live boredom which relaxes, allows us to detach, helps us distance ourselves from anxiety and stress and accompanies us to a more sober and more serene lifestyle. A positive boredom, constructive and not demeaning and pessimistic. Long live boredom, for adults and children. For grandparents who experience the fatigue of aging and for children who are in a frenzy of growth. Many believe that inactivity is bad and can trigger the vicious cycle of laziness. In reality, idleness stimulates creativity. It reduces stress and tension and helps us cultivate new ideas. Does this mean we have to become idle? Absolutely not, rather let's re-evaluate the value and sense of boredom. Boredom obsesses us, it scares us, and we always feel it lurking. Sometimes we try to avoid it even by taking refuge in the virtual world, but in this case the remedy can be worse than the disease, because boredom is associated with a sense of loneliness. And we are even frightened by the risk that our children might get bored: a useless and wrong fear.

MY CREATIVE MOTHER

My mother was a fashion designer and always wanted to work but she lived in a country where men didn't want her to work. Men thought her fantasy was evil.
he wanted to dress black women in a country where they always wore dark colors and black. She fought to bring color to a sad country full of people who always judged her.
But she continued to create, she was always there for all those women who wanted to be not only dressed but also listened to. But men judged her badly because she put strange ideas of freedom to those women who were often treated badly by their husbands. I'm talking about a small town that wasn't as modern as it is today.
Those were bad times for women, and men expected women to all stay home and have children.
My mother had received the gift of creativity and she would design her own dress patterns in order to bring some happiness into the lives of those sad people.
But everyone made war on her and so when she met my father she was forced to leave her country because she understood that it was very difficult to destroy a tradition that had been going on for many years.
She was sad about her choice, which my father had requested, but she always went back to her country and took an interest in those women. She was a kind of fairy who wore beautiful things, who listened, who did magic with clothes and everyone loved her.
She passed on this creativity to me but I live in a country now where women only think about money, where they never smile and where they only think about buying dark and black clothes and I can't do anything because I'm judged and criticized and I feel very uncomfortable because i don't do the same things they do and i don't have any friends and i only listen to my cats.
What is the use of so much imagination if you can't give it to anyone? What is the use of creating so many things if I then have to keep them locked up in the attic?

ART IN THE FUTURE

Is it more important to know how to repair a car or paint a picture? Is it more important to know how to repair a boiler or create a sculpture? Is it more important to repair a fridge than to sew a bag? If you don't know how to fix certain objects then you can't drive, you can't store food, you can't heat the water. Let's imagine for a moment that there is a black out and you can no longer turn on the TV, the fridge will not be able to turn on, the car batteries will not be able to charge. Therefore it will be necessary to do without everything that requires electricity and repairs. So what will humans do? Will they return to observe the paintings they have in the house and dream? No, because they didn't want to spend money to buy the paintings but only spent money on useful things. And art is not considered useful. But in the future all the appliances will be turned off and whoever has books and paintings will be able to dream. Everyone else will perhaps die of boredom.

MY ART IN MARCH 2022

REBEL DAY

Don't cling to people, no one has to be a pillar, happiness doesn't have to depend on anyone, don't make people you love your reason for living. Each of us lives a war, a burden, do not think that those who harm you have a lighter baggage than yours, each weighs their experiences based on their inner strength. People all have flaws and will always make mistakes that they have to learn to fix for themselves, and it's okay to let them go when they want to.If they treat you badly it is a cause of weakness, fear, insecurity, people do not always understand and there are those who don't care and those who try to deal with the problem. To each their own weight. Don't allow people to dump it on you, friends, boyfriends, anyone. In love you have to feel good, mistakes can always be remedied when possible, second chances exist as long as you don't go further. Let those who still cannot understand and let go of those who want to stay for their own. No one is to blame, it is not selfishness,
the universe sometimes speaks and the wounds sometimes serve to remove or heal something toxic. Learn to give weight to dreams and your ambitions, people are guests in our life, everyone will find their part sooner or later, let those who want to be next to you do it without responsibility, appreciate the small gestures and beware of scratches, forgive but don't forget, wanting is power, but respect the choices of others without affecting you too much. Those who want to love you will love you as a single entity, not because you are one thing together, completing each other is fine, but remain split entities who have a life together and if they do not want to be with you, accept it, nobody wants to hurt you and nobody wants to harm you. bad alone. Accept the answers and fight only as far as possible, do not use insistence, go ahead.

Stay true.
The black sheep of a family are actually liberators of their family tree. Family members who do not fit into family rules or traditions, those who are constantly trying to revolutionize beliefs. Those who choose paths contrary to the well-trodden paths of family lines, those who are criticized, judged and even rejected. These are called to free the family from repetitive patterns that frustrate entire generations. These so-called "black sheep," the ones that don't fit, the ones that howl with rebellion, actually repair, detoxify, and create new thriving branches in their family tree.
Countless unfulfilled desires, shattered dreams, or frustrated talents of our ancestors are manifested through this revolt. By inertia, the family tree will do everything to maintain the castrating and toxic course of its trunk, which will make the rebel's task difficult and conflicting. Stop doubting and take care of your rarity "as the most precious flower on your tree".
You are the dream of all your ancestors.
Often, the less understood you are, the more valid what you think is. They will call you crazy, but I think being crazy is simply having the courage to be yourself. And yes, people call you "crazy" when you rebel against something, and we are taught this from an early age, that rebelling is wrong. Actually I believe rebellion is the only way out of being who we really are. Because each one taken individually has its own unique value, but we tend to homologate, they treat us and we treat each other as if we were and should all be the same. We are so slaves of this system that we do not even notice it anymore and we believe we are free, we believe that what we have in mind is our true personality, while we are still subject to society and all its conventions. If you think about it, the most important people in past and contemporary history who have brought about significant changes in the world, who have brought about improvements, have been rebels. We could all be rebels, free ourselves from the chains that bind us. Yet we persist in making choices dictated by rationality, by schemes, and not by instinct. We say we are independent, but we continue to choose on the basis of what we have been taught, not on the basis of what we are, what we feel. So ultimately, until you understand your nature, you won't be independent, but quite the opposite. This is what I think ... In short, quoting Bukowski: "When everyone is equal, everyone is nobody".
Be rebellious
and stay special.
Don't be satisfied:
dream as big as you can
aim as high as you can.
Aim for the moon, yes.
And not just any moon,
but at the full moon:
more beautiful
further.
So perfectly imperfect.
Stay special
because everyone knows how to be ordinary.
Go as far as you can:
beyond the clouds we see
beyond the seas we know
beyond the fields of daisies.
Go beyond that idea of right and wrong
that all impose themselves,
as if the world really existed
what is right
is what is wrong.
There is what you want
and what you want is never wrong.
Go further.
Besides all those things that don't have a name:
invent new names
new places
new dreams
and new emotions,
because emotions and dreams are the colors of the world
because emotions and dreams shape the world.
Go further.
Beyond the calm and the storm
beyond black and white
beyond the known colors:
stumble upon the new shades
that the sky invents every day
but which few are able to see.
Go further:
look for the rare things.
Everything you need is there.
Stay special
even if life, at times,
M- maybe often, it hurts
and even if this bad
it changes you inside
if you are not strong enough
to resist.
Stay as you are:
do not let yourself be transformed by pain.
Don't become different
angry
neither self-centered.
Improve yourself,
but don't change!
Stay special
with a smile on his lips
and the joy of living in the eyes.
Don't let yourself be changed by disappointments
by those who want to make you feel wrong
because you are not
nowhere
in no time
in no way.
Be different.
Be rebellious:
stay special.
Don't be upset by events.
Find the beauty in everything,
dream big
not giving a damn about others
don't care who says you fail,
why you won't:
do what you want.
Be rebellious
be great
and you will conquer the world!

BUY ONLY HANDMADE PRODUCTS

There are many people who create objects, clothes, furniture, jewelry, .. recycling materials and thus helping the environment. When you have to give a gift, think first of all about buying these products. Your choice is really important. NO MADE IN CHINA. We do not feed the trade in items made by exploiting foreign children. Buy handmade items from grown-up and creative people.
I am not the first and I will not be the last to recommend giving handmade gifts, giving handmade creations. I wrote it quite a few years ago and I recommend it again today, especially at Christmas, especially at this time, but also and above all … always. The reasons are innumerable.
Each handmade creation as such is different from the other. No two handmade objects are alike and this makes each object a special gift. You can be sure that no one will have given an item like yours as a gift.
It is handmade from start to finish. From the conception, to the design, to the creation, up to the packaging and shipping, everything in each handmade object is handmade. It is made by a person who loves what he does. Behind every handcrafted object there is a person who loves what he does. Each creation is made with passion, love and attention to detail. This is why the creative / craftsman / designer puts his name and face on what he does.
When you give someone a handmade item, you are telling that person that they deserve something unique and special. You are not giving it any piece of plastic, but all the love, attention, and mastery that that object breathed while it was being created.
Buying a handcrafted object and being able to communicate directly with the craft-maker gives you the opportunity to request a personalization of the object to give as a gift. This doesn’t happen if you buy mass-produced things.
Buying a handmade object is an important way to directly support craftsmanship and creativity. It is a way to reward talent, passion, care, responsibility and when you buy a handmade creation, it is as if you were saying to the artist: Bravo, I like what you do! and the craftsman needs to hear this more than anyone else. The choice to buy handmade supports the realization of a dream and gratifies an artist who does not create to become rich: his real wealth is being able to continue doing what he does.
Supporting local artisans is a conscious choice, an important sign to be launched at everyone to support the little ones. A sign to make it clear that we like more to have a connection with those who produce culture, rather than with a silent shelf in a department store.
I don’t always say, but often recycled materials are used to create a handmade object. Often waste materials are used or objects are put back into circulation that would otherwise be thrown away. The handmade creation as such limits the use of machinery and chemicals and reduces the production of waste.

I LOVE ETHNIC BAGS

When I was a child my parents took me to a fair on the waterfront, which took place every summer. Often there were stalls of ethnic objects and clothes, bags, shoes and jewelry. I was very impressed by the Peruvian bags, the African masks, the Indian incense scents. Sometimes I listened to the music of the Inti Illimani, which my father liked very much, and the music mixed with the smell of cotton candy and they were magical evenings. So, perhaps for my childhood memories, I really love ethnic bags. I am fascinated by the mix of such bright colors and designs.
I think it is nice to help certain peoples to sell their local handicrafts. Bags sometimes even tell a story in their designs.

WOMEN HANDICRAFT

20190825_124859.jpg
some years ago I believed that
 female creativity and craftsmanship
could give me satisfaction and help me
with my family expenses. but afterwards
I realized that I and all the other
women we created all those beautiful
things we were destined not to sell
nullaxe and not to have any profit.
the reason? the other women bought
 branded items, branded bags, branded
clothes and branded jewels.
all things produced in factories
where donbe are exploited themselves.
but it didn't matter that we said
that female creativity is important.
every artisan who had a blog closed
it after a while. every creative woman
looked for a job in the factory.
husbands and boyfriends believed and
still believe that female craftsmanship
has no market. and they are right.
in fact many artisans have stopped
creating. I'm throwing everything out
today. because this company does not
value women's manual skills.
I'm tired of being considered unproductive.
( things in the basket are my creativity stuff and now I'm
I'm throwing them in the garbage)
)
