DO GOOD

Many people with good intentions and then what? If the world were full of truly well-meaning people, would we have gotten to this point? I see a lot of people talking about love and peace but then at the first opportunity they become aggressive and angry. Sites full of people who hate, but then they say they are pacifists and animal rights activists. But in what? But what are they talking about? We must work to save this planet. Speeches and beautiful words are not enough. Are you animal rights? So don't buy leather shoes and bags, go volunteer in animal associations, catteries, kennels and recovery centers for injured animals. Show your good, don't just talk about it. Be kind, loving, polite, meek and above all humble. There are too many people who brag about themselves, who value only appearance and success. You show that you believe in something deeper and more universal. Always fight for Good and always do good. Do good to Nature and animals first of all because your sensitivity can be seen from there.

WE SLEEP TOGETHER

TENERIFE HORSE RESCUE SEARCH FOR WORKERS

“We are a young couple with a dream to create a self sufficient eco horse and animal sactuary. We are now a registered charity

We want to rehabilitate as many horses as possible and offer eco holidays on our farm in a cave house or a mongolian yurt to fund the charity. Our passion is to rescue all the animals (so far. Pigs, dogs, cats, tortoises, Guinea pigs, rabbits, hedgehogs, chickens, goats, horses) we can.

We are passionate about sustainability as well, EVERYTHING is built from scrap and waste material. We eat “freegan” as all of our food comes from supermarket and farm waste. We are also on solar and our water systems are all sustainable too.

Our project is beautiful but hard work, we get the balance of working as a team to make it happen but enjoying the experience of back to basic living.”

WE LOVE DOGS

I have always thought that animals are not bought, because they are not toys or things, and therefore I am curious to know the prices, to know why some want a dog or a cat simply for the breed and instead some are just looking for an animal to love beyond. beyond species or otherwise.
I am increasingly convinced that animals should never be bought, but adopted, as the shelters are full of puppies eager for a lot of love, instead of giving birth to new animals in the farms just for business and sale. And if we think that many dogs will stay all their lives in a kennel and that they will never be adopted, suffering from lack of space and often food, how can we think of spending money to buy an animal just because it belongs to a special breed?
The difference seems minimal but it is not: the animals in the shelters are healthy and vaccinated instead, excluding serious farms, farmed animals live in cages, becoming money-making machines, i.e. breeding machines, and puppies are often forced to get away from their mother early and make long journeys to reach the country where they will then be sold in shops, often getting sick or worse dying prematurely.
So since Christmas is approaching and you should be better off, I suggest you get yourself a nice gift and adopt a dog so that you can make a friend happy and not be alone in your life anymore. On top of that, a dog improves mental health and, if adopted, even better. Why do we tell you this? Because an adopted dog will be grateful, affectionate, tender and loving, since he will feel indebted to you for teaching him that there are not only the places where he lived and was treated badly. This will make you feel important and increase your self-esteem.

MY GARDEN WITH HOLES

My garden is full of puddles, holes made by dogs, pieces of branches flown in the storm, bare trees and no flowers because the mice have eaten the bulbs. And I'm very sad that I can't have a nice garden but the weather is awful here. It is very cold and there is already snow on the mountains and yesterday it was only 4 degrees. The house is very humid and even if we heat it later it becomes cold again, it does not keep the heat, it is an old house and it is a torment. Here in my area life is very sad now, especially for me because I don't have the green pass and I can no longer go to the gym, to the theater, to the cinema. I always have to stay at home. Our Italian government has taken away all freedom from us and people like me, who cannot get the vaccine, are limited in everything in life. I am getting depressed and I can't stand this deprivation of freedom. Now in Italy there is this dictatorship that is destroying the country's economy and the people.

IF WE WERE ANIMALS

Here, for this very reason I cry. Because animals don’t make false promises, false expectations, they don’t pretend like us humans. They don’t promise to always be there, they just are. You don’t have to explain to them why you cry, you don’t have to pretend to look great if you feel small, they love you as you are. They become more, they become protective brothers or loyal friends. They ask for nothing in return but your loyalty. Their eyes say: “I am there, but you stay.” And when the time comes to say goodbye it is impossible not to cry, not to suffer, not to think that they too have the same feelings you are experiencing. I do not cry an animal, I cry the loyalty that I have lost.
Create an app inspired by Pokemon in which, however, through your mobile that acts as a pokedex, you scan the animals using the phone’s camera and add them to your memory So like pokemon but based on animals and possibly also plants This could lead people to appreciate nature and animals more often. To go to the kennels and see the reality of how certain unfortunate dogs live. It would be a very nice thing in my opinion. Why does no one do it? Make a Tinder-like app with kennel dogs and fall in love with them that will surely give you more love than many empty and unaffective people.
Hedgehogs often come to eat in front of my house, they steal my cats’ kibble. They’re so cute. Sometimes they go to my garden and drive my dogs crazy because they don’t understand what animal it is. Hedgehogs are poisoned by various insecticides, one more reason to avoid toxic products in the garden; metaldehyde snails, for example, are particularly dangerous for these animals.
When did we humans begin to dig the furrow that separates us from the world that should be our own, namely the animal one? Because this we are, animals. When did we begin to cultivate the utter disharmony that is the new normal today?
I cried this morning. Thinking about how much this nature is now alien to us, thinking about all the evil we are capable of towards other living beings, thinking about the bottomless pit of our hypocrisy. Yes, this morning I too cried out of guilt because I am part of that infesting race that is destroying the planet and sowing death among its inhabitants, who in some animals see only food, amusement, objects to use. I cried because, even if I have been trying to do my part for some time now, it is still not enough. Man is also an animal, an evolved ape who has forgotten what it means to live in symbiosis with the surrounding environment. We have not eaten other animals for over a year now and this is a choice that makes us happy but also more aware. Unfortunately, it is not enough to alleviate the burden of a fault that is too great for us, which overwhelms us as a species and not as individuals. We act as if everything is due to us and we can’t even understand how absurd it is.
Hong Kong Zoo’s two giant pandas, Ying and Lee, arrived at their large enclosure in 2007. The vets had tried in every way to get them to mate but they never succeeded. Then came the coronavirus. The zoo was closed to the public. And it finally happened. Pandas in the silence of the world made love for the first time. When man stops and stops rebuilding the world at will, nature returns to design his life.
They tell you don't cry.

They tell you it's just a dog, not a person.

They tell you it will pass.

They tell you that animals don't know they have to die.

They tell you that the important thing is not to make them suffer.

They tell you you can have another one.

They tell you it's going to happen.

They tell you that there are more unbearable pains.

But they don't know how many times you've looked your dog in the eye.

They don't know how many times it was you and your dog that looked into the dark.

They don't know how many times your dog has been the only one who has been by your side.

They don't know that the only one who hasn't judged you is your dog.

They don't know how scared you were the night her moans woke you up.

They don't know how many times your dog has slept next to you.

They don't know how much you've changed since the dog became a part of your life.

They don't know how many times you hugged him when he was sick.

They don't know how many times you pretended not to see when her hair got whiter and whiter.

They don't know how many times you've talked to your dog, the only one who really listens to you.

They don't know how good you have been for your dog.

They don't know it was only your dog who knew you were in pain.

They don't know what feelings your dog made you feel.

They don't know what it's like to see your senior dog making an effort to come and say hello.

They don't know that when things went wrong, the only one who hasn't gone is your dog.

They don't know that your dog trusts you, in every moment of his life, even at the last moment.

They do not know how much your dog loved you, and what little he needed to be happy, because you were enough for him.

They don't know that crying for a dog is one of the noblest, most meaningful, true and cleanest things you can do.

They don't know about the last time you moved him with difficulty ... being careful not to hurt him.

They don't know what you felt when you caressed his face in the last moments of his life.

HAPPY PUPPIES

The most important thing for a puppy is socialization, that is, learning to relate to people, other animals and their environment. This includes car noises, crowds of people, children, parks, etc. The idea is to naturally expose him to everything that will be part of his adult life.
Dogs are very good at reading facial expressions and are more likely to react quickly to simple hand movements than to long complicated sentences, the meaning of which they can only guess through the tone of our voice. First think carefully about how you want to give your puppy basic commands such as "Sit!", "Let go!", "Let's go!" and what gesture can you combine to emphasize them. After that, keep these simple commands always using the same keywords and hand movements.
Your dog understands who the contact person in his "pack" is above all through clear commands and a perception of reliability. Excessive rigor or repressive education are not only unnecessary but on the contrary they would end up frightening your sensitive four-legged friend. After all, no one wants the dog to obey his commands out of fear, but rather to respect the rules of the game with joy. How can we encourage the pleasure of learning in the puppy?
Praise and rewards play an important role in motivating young dogs. In this sense, dogs are not very different from most people - they choose the path that promises them the greatest benefit. Reproaches and punishments demotivate: they have the effect of distracting the puppy from the desired path, ending up hindering the success of the educational process.
NEVER GIVE CHICKEN BONES BECAUSE SMALL PIECES CAN SOCK YOUR THROAT.

DO NOT GIVE CHOCOLATES, SWEETS, CHEESES.

DO NOT GIVE RAW FISH, CANDIES, CHEWING GUM, GARLIC, ONIONS.

NEVER DRINK ALCOHOL OR BEER OR CARBONATED DRINKS.

NEVER GIVE GRAPES OR SEEDED FRUITS.

DON'T GIVE NUTS, AVOCADO, EGGS.
NEVER GIVE YOUR DOG FOOD OR CAT FOOD.
If your puppy is not yet well trained does his "needs" on the sofa and you notice him only in the evening, when you want to go to sleep, scolding him at that point is useless. Instead, praise him if he can "hold on" until you let him out. Reward your young paw friend with a puppy snack (don't overdo it, please!), Or with affectionate words, caresses of tenderness, gestures that express praise or even with his favorite toy. Even small freedoms, such as letting him go for a few meters off the leash, allowing him to romp with other dogs or play ball together, are experienced by the dog as desirable goals and can therefore serve as a reward.
I recommend that you spend the first few days in close contact with your puppy and surround him with lots of love, instilling him with a sense of security and giving him your time. Talk to your dog often by his name so he can learn it quickly, pet him, play with him and give him some snacks he can eat from your hand: this way you create the necessary trust between you and make sure that the puppy feels at ease with you. This is the fundamental basis from which to start, to then reach together the other objectives that are part of the puppy's education path.

DO NOT ABANDON THE ANIMALS

When you abandon a dog, because “it is no longer needed”, you are teaching your children what to do with you when you are old …

WRITE TO CHIARA FERRAGNI

Chiara Ferragni. I thought of her, since she is the most powerful woman on planet earth. Since millions of people only listen to what she says. Since his words are law. Then call her and tell her to imagine her little dog roasted or on a skewer seasoned with vegetables, because these things happen in South Korea and often in China too. Write her on twitter, facebook, instagram or wherever you are and tell her to raise a finger to say enough to this useless carnage that happens every year. If you also have a dog you will understand well what it means to send innocent beings to the slaughter just for a stupid tradition that they do not want to stop. Then tell Ferragni! Only she is listened by millions of people, she alone is and only she would have the power to influence so many people. We are nothing and no one would listen to us. Force!!! What are you waiting for? Tell her !!!

I DIED ONCE

I wandered through a fantasy forest.
Blue branches, yellow barks, purple grasses, star gourds.
My one second dream.
Those who keep their hats even at night.
The thieves of gods.
Tears without taste.
Drinking.
I don’t protect myself with the sacred.
My mantle is made of mountains, bright rocks, forests that I don’t know.
Human journeys first were made by dogs.
Flora is like a colored texture around the inky black of my path.
I was a happy child and I was making bouquets of flowers.
Now I collect stones to consolidate my torn chest.
I died once where I haven’t walked yet.
I was taken without my permission.
Collected by an ogre they didn’t warn me about.
It wasn’t his garden, and I hadn’t crossed over.
Maybe my being a doll brought him closer.
Perhaps beauty sometimes brings death.
