BEAUTY IS IN EVERYONE

Over the centuries the idea of beauty has always been present in the mind of man, although the way in which it is understood has changed several times. In fact it is something universal, but different in various societies and in single individuals. It can be considered as an aesthetic factor, even if over the years from this point of view it has assumed a somewhat superficial meaning, since it has often been based and still is based today on the canons established by the society in which we live, ready to have prejudice as soon as there is something different from the established patterns.

But the beauty lies precisely in the diversity, in the particularity, in expressing one's tastes regardless of the opinion of others, in being imperfect. It is therefore not something that comes close to perfection, but something that has "charm", that strikes, that attracts. In the past, beauty, understood as creativity, has always been a sort of sublimation of man's passions. The external one was expressed mainly through artistic productions, including paintings and sculptures, and was associated with other qualities. Think of the goddess Venus, goddess of beauty and fertility, represented with prosperous forms (beauty of the body as a symbol of prosperity, grace and elegance). In Greece, in the 5th century BC, beauty (expressed for example through statues) was synonymous with perfection, which included not only physical qualities such as strength, but also moral and ethical qualities, such as courage. Classical art therefore sought harmony in all senses, a harmony that was also sought in the beauty of nature and creation, also expressed over the centuries through poetry. Just think of Foscolo, according to whom the beauty of creation was reflected in the beauty of poetry. External beauty was also the subject of some artistic-literary currents, including Aesthetics, which developed in the 1900s with Decadentism, and which was based on the search for beauty as such, a futile beauty, which gives momentary pleasure but it really leaves you unsatisfied.

I think that beauty is not just an aesthetic factor, but everything that can make us excited. Not necessarily something grandiose and spectacular: it lies in small things and small gestures. A song, an unexpected gift, a child's smile, an unsolicited hug, the rainbow after a storm, the sun after the rain. I believe that the most important form of beauty is the inner one: being a beautiful person, with healthy values and principles. What conquers someone is their attachment to life. A beautiful person inside is an empathetic person, who knows how to listen to others, who manages to face the most difficult situations without ever losing his smile. A sincere, humble person who has the courage to accept defeats and who never gives up. Beauty is accepting yourself for what you are, feeling good about yourself, feeling unique, loving yourself, loving and being loved.

Beauty is appreciating and feeling lucky for what you have. It is being able to achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. It is freedom: being free to say and do what you think, without being influenced by anyone and without being afraid of being judged. And if you are afraid, the beauty lies in being able to defeat it. The beauty is found in the simplest, most genuine and deepest feelings, such as love and friendship. Sometimes it would be necessary to use a little of our time to rediscover relationships with others (in a world that tends more and more to materialism and that gives importance to the most trivial things) for a complete formation of our personality. In a word, it can be said that beauty is knowledge. It is in fact a way to know reality, from all its points of view. In order not to lose the sense of beauty, it is necessary to investigate it, know it and understand it: this will allow us not to get used to it and make it last over time. As Dostoevsky, a Russian writer, says, "Beauty will save the world".

I smell the air, the earth, I smell often and I also feel when the air is charged with energy before the storm.
When I move in a certain way I can feel the presence of another being like me thousands of miles away from me.
They are very strange sensations.
I can also see the faces of many felines with my eyes closed, which I don’t know who they are.
I didn’t know you could be a therian. I had never read this term before.
However, I always felt inside my mind a primordial part of me very much linked to Nature and the animal instinct.
Men make me feel bad.
Those who love me are always angry with me. They are always angry.
I feel my heart hurt. I feel very disappointed.
Anger is always present. We are the ones who at night spread powerful energy towards the heart of the Earth, towards the hearts of the people, towards the suffering world.
We don’t sleep, but we don’t play, we vibrate to send our vibrations to this planet.

PROGRESS WAS A GOOD THING?

I find myself wondering if really the society that man has built and is building, the technology he has developed, the answers of science, the law that protects us ... I wonder if really the wild life in the jungle is more cruel . Perhaps it is inherent in some men, that thought that creeps in and constantly suggests the echo of the so-called "golden age", but reading the newspapers, listening to the news, trying to understand why politics is so complicated since be made "on a human scale" - and certainly the average man (but I doubt that even politicians talk like that, in the absence of their lawyers ...) says so - it's hard to believe that an existence should in which it is clear in mind who to escape and who to trust (run away from the lion, caress the rabbit) is so terribly aberrant, compared to a society where you have everything you want, but a huge restlessness and the rotten blood.

Yes of course, if I woke up tomorrow in the midst of brambles and brushwood and had to run away from the hungry lion, I would be dead in less than half a minute, and surely having to pick berries to feed myself I would regret any supermarket. But, here, I am not trying to say that man is demonic in nature or that progress is negative. I am only expressing my personal personal in realizing that this jungle we are in now is terrifying: an incomprehensible politics in which we, poor game, cannot understand the mechanisms or even glimpse them, a society that makes us stressed even on vacation , a collective anxiety, information that becomes a collective forum of opinions, subjectivity that becomes law, if you have enough power to buy a few journalists and have the right connections. Values become the object of ridicule and bullying, of the psychological one, of the slightly bad one. The believer becomes a bigot, "health-conscious" is almost a negative term, women are whores or puritans, drugs are a common good, the mafia is our neighbor, we eat antibiotics directly in the meat of the supermarket.

I'm allowed to doubt progress, but I'm not shocking enough to consider only one side of the coin. What scares me is the human mind, the culture. it has always managed to survive: the inquisition, the censorship, the world wars. Even in Nazi prisons and concentration camps, the culture survived. Will it survive the internet? Will he survive a world so hectic, so fast, so cruel, so ambiguous? to a jungle with rules expressed in decrees? If wikipedia tomorrow said that Napoleon never existed, that man is actually a bird, that gravity allows us to change color. culture can really survive all of this, as the holders of classical music go to war with each other and are beaten by any pianist, writers scramble their strenuous writings to the most, beaten by teenage novels that will appear as best seller next to anna karenina and the leopard, painters and sculptors are ignored because the guy who ties a dog in a museum or who places himself as a sculpture is more "audience" and art critics talk about it more.

I am concerned about the voice of humanity: is it strong enough to withstand even this silent war? Or is this not a war, and this oppression, this anguish, this evil of living will remain a worldwide constant, and only a few will come out of it, like crazy astronauts?

WALKING IN THE WOODS

Now you know. So you stay in the woods for a few more minutes. Are you OK. Fill your lungs with air. Breathe and this time really, breathe and choose to feed yourself with a dose of air full of what makes you feel good. Your immune system reads, decodes and copes with any external attack just like a tree would because it is in the woods that you have your roots. Home.
