If one day, watching TV, they interrupt the programs to inform you that a comet is coming on earth what would you do? Would you believe who discovered this comet? Would you doubt? Would you go to the one you love to save them? By now it happens more and more often to read news about dangerous comets or meteorites. What attention do you give to such news? Do they shake you or do you remain impassive?Have you ever known something important and tried to tell someone and not be believed? Sometimes certain things seem so strange and impossible to be true yet by the time you realize they are true it will be too late.
My husband and I just watched that movie last night, and it reminded me of a couple of other movies.
Yes, I have tried to warn people and had the warnings fall on deaf ears. The problem is, as “Don’t Look Up” showed, if you ‘re trying to tell people something earth shattering and you’re too calm, they think you can’t be serious, but if you tell them too passionately, the response is, “Don’t believe her, she’s hysterical.”
I was already considering reposting this piece. Now that I’ve seen “Don’t Look Up,” I’m thinking I’ll tweak it to fit the movie everyone is watching now.
Here’s the original:
Reminds me of the scene in the movie where the comet becomes visible to the naked eye. Leo says, “there’re finally seein’ it…” The way he says it gives me chills.
I think I would throw my arms around my love and hold her tight. A comet is something I can do nothing about so I would tell her I love her and pray ๐๐๐๐
Yeah, if a comet was coming, Iโd just want to be with my family. There would be nothing we could do, and we trust this isnโt the end for us; so, in a way, it might be a final celebration! โฆ Btw, Thanks for the follow!

Itโs scary how accurate this movie captures the psychology of denial. Clearly itโs very real hurdle to overcome, and right now nobody knows how.

I believe humanity will one day have this nasty surprise. And many now don’t understand that the odds are huge.
